Current projects

Studio Naturalistico Milvus is currently working on these activities:

Avifauna monitoring in the Regione Basilicata
The research is carried out in co-operation with Ente Parco di Gallipoli-Cognato and Piccole Dolomiti Lucane, and includes scientific ringing activities in the ZPS “Lago Pantano di Pignola (PZ)”, censuses of aquatic birds wintering in Basilicata’s wettest areas, and nesting avifauna monitoring through listening and observation stations in sample areas that are representative of the different environmental typologies of the territory.

Monitoring of Umbria ornithological communities
The inquiry is carried out on behalf of Osservatorio Faunistico della Regione Umbria and is based on the employment of listening-observation stations, located in different areas of the regional territory.

Ornithological monitoring in the Palazzo San Gervasio (Pz)
The monitoring is run in collaboration with D.R.E.A.M. Italia s.c.r.l. and is carried out through the use of sample transepts and fixed observation stations, which aim to assess the level of employment of the research area by migratory, nesting and wintering fauna.

Ornithological monitoring in the wind park site of Vasciano (TR)
The research is carried out in collaboration with Studio Naturalistico Hyla and is based on the employment of fixed observations stations which aim to collect information on migratory fauna, with particular reference to sailing birds (Ciconiiformes, Falconiformes, Gruiformes).
