Egidio Fulco: Graduated in Natural Sciences from the Università degli Studi di Perugia with a final thesis entitled “Monitoraggio della comunità ornitica in un ecosistema cacuminale appenninico in Umbria”. Specializing in the avifauna research field, he deepened aspects connected with the structure of the ornithological colonies which constitute the forest ecosystems of Lucania. He constantly monitors the avifauna in the Basilicata territory, where he coordinates the project MITO2000 at a regional level, concerned with colonies of nesting birds. As a bird ringer he collaborated in scientific ringing activities run by public or private agencies in the field of national and international research projects, both in the Apennines and in the Alps.
He cooperated in the creation of fauna characterizations in the field of Environmental Impact Research and Incidence Evaluation in different settings of national territory, with particular reference to Basilicata, Lazio, Sicilia and Umbria. He has run training courses inherent to the Apennine avifauna and carried out education in environment activities in specialized centres. He is the author of articles published in scientific journals.
